Research & Development

In a knowledge-driven economy, research and innovation are critical to the success of any enterprise. Mother Nature, the world's greatest chemist, continuously creates a diverse array of remarkable chemical compounds with immense potential to benefit humanity. The R&D Center plays a vital role in advancing the company by consistently enhancing productivity, reducing costs, improving quality, and driving the development of new products. This relentless pursuit of innovation ensures that businesses remain competitive and continue to thrive.

Research Objectives

To design experimental strategies aimed at utilizing bio agents to replace chemicals in pest and disease management.

  • Efficacy of bio pesticides for control of key pest fungal, and bacterial diseases in broad high value and export crops.

  • To develop insect pheromone actives and their formulations for economically important crop pest &urban pest.

  • To develop biological weed control technologies for control of Lantana camara, Parthenium hysterophorus and Water hyacinth.

AGBIO R&D Capabilities

  • INSECT PHEROMONES:  Constantly pheromones, design cost  effective suitable traps keeping in view the insect behaviour also develop process for synthesis of new pheromone compounds.

  • Microbial insecticide cum fungicide (CHITINASE):  Acts as potent biological control protecting plants from insect pests and phytopathogenic fungi.

  • Microbial insecticide AG#39: Is a bacterial symbiont produce toxins virulence factors and a complex set of enzymes and is reported to have high insect virulence.

  • Microbial Insecticide AG#94: A new subsp. of BT,  produces a potent bio insecticide which can complete and replace present BT insecticides.

  • Bio fungicide AG#98: Acts as an antagonistic fungi with potential capabilities as a biocontrol agent against plant pathogens.

  • MYCOHERBICIDES: For biological weed control on Lantana camara, Parthenium hysterophorus and Water hyacinth.

AGBIO is aware that environment protection is of paramount duty to society. Keeping this in mind we are constantly working towards developing some eco-friendly pest control systems, which not only brings the pest population under check but also has no negative impact on the environment, achieving high yields.
